In the late 1940's Fred Lincoln Ravin and his wife, Alta, moved to the small town of Tillsonburg and founded

F. L. Ravin Limited, commonly known as Ravin Coach Lines. What started as a small grocery store at the corner of Brock and Bidwell Street, with a bus stop located a step outside the store and Grandma Ravin making sandwiches for the travellers, became the Ravin Coach of today.

In the 1950's Ravin Coach moved to a building on Prospect St. in Tillsonburg, where the original fleet had 3 buses. Not only did Ravin Coach operate school buses, but also chartered Coach buses that travelled to the surrounding area. From 1960 - 2007, Ravin's contracted mail service with Canada Post including mail delivery line run, parcel post and postal shuttle in the town and surrounding area.

F. L. passed away in 1957 and left the business to his children Howard, Eleanor and Robert (Bob). In time, Eleanor and Bob both went their separate way and Howard Ravin was the sole proprietor of F. L. Ravin Limited.

With an expanding fleet of 14 buses, a lot on Coon Alley was purchased for parking area in the 1960's. Subsequently, Howard expanded the property on Prospect Street to include an office and additional parking in the 1980's.

Until early 1996, Ravin Coach remained at that location, then moved to its current home, a 6 acre lot located at 7 Rouse St., Tillsonburg. This 3rd generation company is owned and operated by Guy and Rosemarie Ravin.

Until June 2010 the fleet included 20+ vehicles, a mix of school buses, mini buses, a wheelchair bus and mini vans. Presently, the company is downsized due to the current procurement guidelines for the Province of Ontario.  Ravin Coach has bus routes in Thames Valley District School Board, London District CatholicSchool Board and transports for Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Servies. We currently bus to the following schools: East Elgin and Assumption in Elgin County.

We do bus charters for Norfolk, Oxford and Elgin counties. Charter work inlcudes weddings, seniors, church runs, family outings, sports teams. We can get you to and from your event with ease.
